Talking about the same IIT Faculty Federation Secretary A.K.Mittal said “We feel cheated. Despite promising us that no steps will be taken if there is any dissent, the HRD minister has gone ahead,.., We have written to Prime Minister highlighting the practical problems with the new format of examination”.
Among others IIT Delhi Almuni Association is also thinking of taking a legal route to stop the implementation of the new two-tier format of engineering entrance for admission to IIT’s, “The new format will dilute the vision for IIT’s of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the association will go to court if required” said President of IIT Delhi Alumni Association (IITDAA) Somnath Bharti.
Amid all the opposition MHRD is going forward with the implementation of the new JEE for IIT’s , it is also organising a meeting with state education ministers on 5th june to discuss the implementation of the common engineering entrance JEE from 2013 in state level.
