Reportedly the dates of JEE Main are reportedly clashing with CBSE Class 12th examination. Keeping this in mind, the Central Board of Secondary Education has now given full freedom to the candidates to change their exam slots if the exams dates appear to be coinciding.
CBSE has asked the affected candidates to send a copy of their Class 12 admit card by e-mail on email@example.com latest by 15th March. In addition, the candidates must not forget to mention their application number of JEE (Main) 2014.

- I will prefer you to take 100Marks chapter test as they will give you analysis whether you are doing right guess work or not
- Do not depend upon calculator too much, Being adept in mental calculations can actually increase your speed to a great extent.
- It’s not required to answer all the questions, select your questions wisely.
- First mark all the questions about which you are 100% confident and then start guess work but again guess work should be smart.
- JEE (Main) is not difficult. However, its questions do need different tricks to solve tricky ones

As per the schedule, JEE Main 2014 Admit Card would be available to download from first week of January 2014 onwards. Only those candidates would be able to download the admit card who have completed the application submission process successfully. To see if the application form is received, candidates may check the application form status.
JEE 2014 Admit Card is required to be brought at the examination hall. Without which, no candidate will be allowed to participate in the examination. Only those candidates would be allowed in the exam hall, who carry admit card a valid photo ID in original. JEE Main 2014 Admit Card must be kept safely even after the exam is over since it’s a crucial document which will serve as identification throughout the admission process in various colleges.
Candidates can download the JEE Main 2014 Admit Card from the official website after providing necessary details correctly such as application number, roll number and date of birth. On downloading, candidate must generate its printout and keep safe of its custody.
Form this year MP PET will be replaced by JEE Main 2014. All state engineering aspirants have to appear for JEE Main 2014 for admission to state engineering colleges.
CBSE and Madhya Pradesh Technical Education Board has released the examination centers for JEE Main 2014 in the state.
However, counselling would be conducted for students by MP DET based on JEE Main 2014 All India Rank. Notifications would be released on the official website later about the counselling schedule.

As per the notification released by jee apex body all engineering aspirants who have passed XII board in 2012 or 2013 will also be eligible for jee main 2014. Earlier only those students who passed XII board with 5 main subjects were eligible for jee main 2014 but now cbse has relaxed eligibility rules for jee main 2014
Such candidates, if appearing in examination for improvement in the scores secured in the four subjects in 2014, will also be considered eligible.
They, however, will get only one chance to inform JEE (Main) Unit as to which year of their qualifying examination marks should be considered. We will update on 100Marks when cbse asks for this information.
The relaxation in class XII subjects, however, will not be available to candidates who are appearing for the board examination in 2014. They will have to take at least five subjects in order to be eligible for JEE (Main)- 2014.
The five subjects, which include Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational, and any other subject, will be taken into account for calculation of candidates’ percentile and normalisation of qualifying examination marks.
The score of Paper I of JEE (Main) – 2014 for all candidates will be declared by May 3, 2014. This score will comprise the actual marks obtained in Paper I of JEE (Main) – 2014 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing for JEE (Advanced) – 2014 provided and subject to other conditions of eligibility being met.
On the basis of score in JEE (Main)-2014 and score of Class XII board, to be normalised by the organisers by a certain formula, a separate all India rank lists will be prepared for admission to institutions other than the IITs. This will be declared by July 7, 2014.
The JEE apex board has been decided that no score or rank card will be dispatched to the candidates from 2014. Candidates will have to download their score or rank cards from the JEE –Main website only.
Reportedly this year admission to engineering colleges will be on the basis of JEE Main 2014 score. Last year only Gujarat state accepted jee main 2013 but this year Odisha and Maharashtra state also accepted JEE Main and now as reported by Madhya pradesh directorate of Technical Education, admissions will be though JEE Main 2014 conducted by the CBSE instead of the MP PET.
The MP Director of technical education, Arun Nahar confirmed the decision by stating that all engineering admissions will be through JEE Main for 2014. He also cautioned that the decision was valid only for the 2014 session following which a review committee would assess and advise further course of action.
According to sources most of the engineering colleges welcomed this decision as they feel that admission process would be more transparent now.
As reported by Odisha Technical Education and Training Minister Pratap Keshari Deb, CBSE has approved 3 more new centers for JEE Main 2014 at Bhawanipatna, Angul and Jeypore.
Earlier CBSE approved only 6 center for JEE Main offline examination in Odisha state, Odisha Technical Education sent a letter to CBSE regarding this to CBSE and demanded to increase this number upto 12, but cbse approved only 3 new centres for odisha state.
Now total jee main examination centre for odisha state is 9.
Odisha has decided to replace OJEE by JEE Main from this year.
JEE Main 2014 will be conducted by CBSE for selection of candidates into National Institutes of Technology (NIT) and the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT). The top 1.5 lakh candidates from JEE Main 2014 will be selected for JEE Advanced 2014, the second stage of JEE.
